Hi, I’m Andreas Saavedra-Metoyer
I completed my masters in Marital Family Therapy from the University of La Verne in 2007 and I've been practicing my craft ever since. Since then I have dedicated my skill to supporting underrepresented and under served populations as I feel it is my ethical duty to support the communities that got me to this point in my career.
am trained in trauma informed practices such as EMDR and TF-CBT. Over the last 3 years I have become a Certified EMDR practitioner along with Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. As of 2025, I became an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, something I am very proud of :)
On a more personal note, I have lived in the Inland Empire for most of my life. My parents are from El Salvador, and pupusas are life. I make playlists for all my emotions, love all things skin care and I have an incredibly dark sense of humor. I AM RELATIVELY FLUENT IN MEME’S AND INTERNET CULTURE. I'm happily married, have one kiddo, two tuxedo cats, a dog, and a lot of plants.

clinical Approach
My therapuetic approach consists various trauma informed techniques such as somatic awareness, cognitive behavioral interventions and exploring and healing attachment injuries. I enjoy incorporating ifs (internal family systems) approaches with my EMDR and explore ‘inner child’ work.
I have been described as a warm but a ‘butt kicker’ in my one on one approach. I see my therapeutic relationship with my clients as one of active collaboration.
